John Semmes received formal training as a protein biochemist, molecular biologist and has significant professional experience in the application of proteomics to protein interactome analysis and post-translational modifications. His research includes the development of computational and informatics solutions to a variety of proteomics problems. He is the currently the Director of the Leroy T. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research Center in East Virginia USA, which encompasses basic and translational research directed at cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. In 2001 he established the George L. Wright Center for Biomedical Proteomics which is a specialised centre of excellence. John is providing critical experitise and input to technical and clinical aspects of the continuing evaluation of OCProDx.
