April has been another busy month for Atturos with the Leadership team taking place in a number of scientific and commercial speaking engagements.
Earlier this month Atturos CSO Steve Pennington delivered a presentation titled ” The Promise of Proteomics for Prostate Cancer” at the 3rd Annual John Fitzpatrick Irish Genito-Urinary Cancer Conference 2017. Steve spoke about how proteomics is being applied to help uncover the mechanisms of prostate cancer progression and to identify biomarkers which may be useful in the clinic. He explained the process of the discovery of the OCProDx panel and on-going clinical evaluation, as well as the future directions and partnerships involved in Atturos’ commercial development.
Steve will also be pitching as one of the Top 10 Finalists of the AIB Start up Academy Competition on the 20th of April at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin. Hosted by Gráinne Seoige, the AIB Start-up Academy final will see all 14 finalists of the AIB Start-up Academy in association with The Irish Times pitch to an expert panel of judges in a bid to win the AIB Start-up Academy prize. For the past 8 weeks the Atturos team have taken part in intensive training master classes from industry experts. The pitch will be followed by a short Q&A with the judges before the winner is announced.
